Nebraska Governor Pillen Withdraws Vetoes!
Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen has withdrawn his line-item vetoes to the State’s Budget for the next 2 years. There was controversy over the vetoes, that they had not been received by the Speaker of the Legislature John Arch within the 5 days allowed by the State Constitution.
This means that the $37 Million allocated to Weigand Marina at Lewis and Clark Lake AND the $18 Million allocated to the Lake McConaughy project in western Nebraska will be in the State’s Budget.
We will continue to follow the story… The legislative session in Lincoln is scheduled to end June 9th. We will keep our eye on this an let you know is anything changes.
